Nestled close to the Canadian border is a stunning 25-mile trail following the former corridor of the Great Northern Railway. The Ferry County Rail Trail is open to anyone interested in mountain biking, walking or even horseback riding. Trail users will find former railroad bridges, Curlew Lake and the Kettle River along the way. There is also a tunnel north of Curlew, Washington, that escapes into a picturesque view of all the autumn colors and golden hues this trail has to offer.
